A wonderful yet potentially overwhelming period is about to begin. Those first few days and weeks at home will involve seeking a new equilibrium. Fortunately, you’re not alone: indeed, once at home, you can make use of maternity care.

Those living in Flanders are entitled to what we refer to as the School Bonus. Those living in Brussels or Wallonia are entitled to the School Premium. 
The School Premium or School Bonus has been available for quite some time and provides families with an additional boost at the start of the school year. This annual premium is paid in August, together with your Child Benefit for the month of July. The amounts vary from EUR 20.40 to EUR 61.20

The toddler allowance is part of the Participation Allowances and is intended for all 3-year-old children who have enrolled in Dutch-language education in time, and children aged 4 years old who remain enrolled and attend school frequently enough.
